NetRaising discovers new phishing scam in our morning email.

On May 31st 2007 The Internal Revenue Service issued an updated warning about phony emails that scare people into believing they are under tax investigation. If clicked, a link in the emails may give scammers access to your computer hard drive. An e-mail claiming to be from IRS Criminal Investigation falsely states that the person is under a criminal probe for submitting a false tax return to a Franchise Tax Board. Opening up an attachment, or clicking on a link to download a file to learn more about the complaint allows those behind the scam to gain remote access to PC computers.

upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party,
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or any other form of solicitation, except in areas designated for such purpose by NetRaising,
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, harm, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or to surreptitiously monitor the recipient’s computer use or online activities without such recipient’s consent,
“frame” or “mirror” any part of a NetRaising site without our prior written authorization,
interfere with or disrupt a NetRaising site, hosting account, servers or networks connected to a NetRaising site, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to a NetRaising site,
intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law,
use any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index, “data mine” or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure of presentation of a NetRaising site or its contents,
“stalk” or otherwise harass another client or user of a NetRaising site; or harvest, collect or store personal data about other users or members or engage in illegal, fraudulent or misleading activities.

Individual Responsibility - You acknowledge that all content, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated.
